This page explains, in plain terms, how money moves when you use Clicky Collect, and who is responsible for it. Clicky Collect is a software platform operated by CLICKY LLC ("Clicky Collect", "we", "us"). It is not a bank, payment provider, or money-transfer service.

1. The short version

Your money does not pass through Clicky Collect. When you top up your wallet, your payment is processed by a licensed payment gateway and settles directly into the account of the outlet you are topping up for — the restaurant, café, or kiosk. Clicky Collect never receives, holds, or controls your funds. We provide the software that lets you order and that records your wallet balance; the outlet holds the money and provides the goods.

2. Who's who

  • You — the customer placing orders and topping up a wallet.
  • The outlet — the independent restaurant, café, or kiosk you order from. It is the merchant and seller of record: it receives your payment, holds your prepaid balance, and provides the food or goods.
  • The payment gateway — a licensed third-party processor (for example Paymob or PayTabs) that securely handles card payments and settles them to the outlet under its own terms and licences.
  • Clicky Collect — the software platform. We connect you to the outlet's menu, record your wallet balance and transactions, and pass instructions to the gateway and the outlet's point-of-sale. We are not a party to the payment itself.

3. What happens when you top up

  • You choose an amount and pay. Your card details are entered directly with the payment gateway, not with Clicky Collect — we never see or store your card number.
  • The gateway processes the payment and settles the funds into the outlet's own merchant account.
  • Clicky Collect records the credited amount in your wallet ledger for that outlet, so you can spend it on orders there.
  • At no point do the funds enter, sit in, or pass through any account owned or controlled by Clicky Collect.

Where an outlet accepts cash top-ups at the counter, the cash goes into the outlet's till and Clicky Collect simply records the matching credit. Again, no money reaches Clicky Collect.

4. Your wallet is prepaid credit

Your Clicky Collect wallet is prepaid credit held with the specific outlet you topped up for, and it can only be used to buy orders from that outlet — it is a closed-loop balance. It is not a bank account, does not earn interest, cannot be sent to other people, and is not a stored-value product issued by Clicky Collect. Clicky Collect maintains the append-only ledger that records every top-up, hold, capture, and refund so your balance is always traceable.

5. Held vs. captured

When you place an order, the order amount is held from your wallet balance and is only captured (finalised) once the outlet accepts the order. If the outlet rejects it or it cannot be fulfilled, the held amount is released back to your wallet. This all happens within the outlet's funds and Clicky Collect's ledger — Clicky Collect does not move or hold the money itself.

6. Refunds

Because the outlet holds your funds, refunds are made from the outlet's account — returned to your wallet, or to your original card via the payment gateway where applicable. Full details are in our Refund Policy. Clicky Collect records and instructs refunds but does not fund them.

7. What Clicky Collect does not do

  • We do not take custody of, hold, or control customer funds.
  • We do not receive your payments — they settle to the outlet.
  • We are not a bank, payment institution, e-money issuer, or money transmitter.
  • We do not pay interest on balances, lend, or offer any financial product.
  • We do not transfer money between customers or between outlets.
  • We do not see or store full card numbers, CVV, or PINs — the gateway handles those.

8. Who is responsible for what

  • The outlet is responsible for receiving payment, holding your prepaid balance, preparing and handing over your order, food safety and quality, and honouring wallet balances and refunds.
  • The payment gateway is responsible for securely processing card payments and settling them, under its own terms and regulatory licences.
  • Clicky Collect is responsible for the software: recording balances and transactions accurately, passing instructions correctly, and keeping the platform secure and auditable. Our role and the limits of our liability are set out in our Terms of Service.

9. Regulatory note

Clicky Collect operates as a technology provider and does not provide banking, payment, or financial services. Wallet balances are closed-loop prepaid credit held by the participating outlet and redeemable only at that outlet. Payment processing is performed by licensed gateways. This page describes how the service operates; it is not legal or financial advice. If you have questions about your rights, please contact us or the relevant outlet.
